Luis Franjul is a Dominican cinematographer with a background in advertising from Universidad APEC and formal studies in cinematography at Bucareste Ateliê de Cinema (São Paulo), Congo Film School (Bogotá), and EICTV (Cuba). His work spans fiction, documentary, and commercial formats, always rooted in a deep belief in the emotional power of the image.
For Luis, cinematography is not just about capturing scenes; it is about shaping how they are felt. Light, composition, color, and movement are used intentionally to guide the viewer’s eye, evoke emotion, and build meaning. With experience across still and motion photography—both digital and analog—as well as underwater cinematography, he explores visual language as a way to connect deeply with audiences.
He is certified in color grading with DaVinci Resolve by Blackmagic Design, and in ARRI Camera Systems through ARRI Film School, with specialization in the ALEXA 35 and ALEXA 35 Extreme platforms. Luis approaches each project with creative sensitivity and technical precision, crafting images that do not just look beautiful, but resonate.
